Kiran Rao joined Vicente Capital Partners in 2009.

Prior to joining Vicente Capital, Kiran was an Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of BMO Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of the Bank of Montreal. At BMO, Kiran worked closely with senior bankers to contribute to all phases of buyside and sellside middle market M&A origination and execution, successfully working on and executing industry consolidations and transactions in the distribution, education, retail, technology, and transportation sectors. Kiran began his career with Morgan Stanley as a Summer Analyst.

Kiran Rao is a member of the E-Council for The Network of Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) Los Angeles and on the Leadership Team of The Giving Spirit (www.thegivingspirit.org), a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization helping and administering aid to the homeless community through direct volunteer interaction. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance, with honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
